In case anyone is searching for a reasonably priced high pressure air supply, they might want to consider giving the Altaros compressor booster a look: https://www.altaros.cz/en/50-compressors

I recently purchased the sheet metal cover version (before the lockdown), and I have been very satisfied with the unit. I already owned a shop compressor, read a lot about the unit on another forum, and decided that I would give it a try. I decided on this one over the similarly priced portable units, as their long term reliability seems to be in question (lots of failures). There are several great videos on YouTube that explain how the booster works, and the only power is for the controller switch. The medium and high pressure pumps are driven by the air from your shop unit.

Once you get the duty cycle right, the unit can direct fill your PCP in a few minutes (depending on the input pressure from your shop compressor). I used a 4 gallon 125PSI shop compressor, with no issues. I also have a larger shop compressor (175PSI) with a 25 gallon tank that I want to try with the unit. I did add an additional in-line dessicant air dryer unit prior to the booster, in order to minimize the amount of moisture in the compressed air.

My eventual plan is to buy a carbon fiber tank and use this booster to fill that unit over-night. I don't shoot enough that I require a high speed fill for a tank. I'm happy to direct fill my PCPs in the mean-time...definitely beats using my hand pump!

Anyhow, I thought this might be helpful to others. And I get to post first in this forum to boot!
