Hi all... am looking at buying a Crosman DPMS SBR BB gun for garden plinking. What are the rules for buying one?
Read that you need to satisfy some criteria to buy a Realistic Imitation Firearm, namely you need to be a retailer, British Airsoft club member, part of a re-enactment group or a film-maker.
Do these rules still stand? If so do I need to become an Airsoft club member just so I can buy this BB gun?
If I had a FAC (not that I do yet), would that allow me to bypass the other criteria?

Any help much appreciated!

Simple answer: it's not an airsoft gun and as such doesn't come under any of the VCRA issues. as an airgun its covered under firearm legislation not "imitation" firearm legislation. So providing you're not a prohibited person; you're good to buy one and enjoy!

and you'd know if you were a prohibited person as a judge would have told you :p

hope that helps,

Thanks James, that’s EXACTLY the kind of response I was hoping for!

Time to compare prices, just a shame it’s sooo much more expensive here than in the States, where it also comes with a red dot for less money!!
