Hi experts,

Would you know of any AirGun experts that work in Pest Control you could direct me to? I am in the Dallas, TX metro area and I have a mouse/rat that has evaded every other effort to eradicate. It's the most insane situation and I have come to the conclusion that the only way to get rid of it is to shoot it. I do not have an AirGun or night scope and rather hire someone that is already experienced. I might ultimately need to get an AirGun but it's a lot of effort to ramp up for this one specific project.

The tricky aspect is that I am in a large city and have other homes close by. The rodent goes outside many times all night to get food and bring in for those inside. The food in this case is cedar tree berries. The cedar trees are in a common area behind my house. The only time the rodent does not go outside is if I am outside. If I am inside, it goes out with utmost confidence. I can share more specifics if I can locate anyone to help me with this issue. I am at my wits end and appreciate any help.

Thanks
Gabriel

Perhaps get ahold of Keith Warren over on YouTube. He hunts with air guns in Texas quite often and may know someone that can help you.
Have you looked online for gun clubs in your area? Many time gun enthusiasts don't limit themselves to just firearms or just air guns. But, will enjoy all the various disciplines. (especially in the Lone Star State).
Also, you should be able to buy a Gamo air rifle at Bass Pro, Big5, Walmart, or others for a couple of bucks. If you get one with Whisper Fusion your neighbors will probably never hear it. Stay away from magnum and Mach1 models as they can more easily fire pellets faster than the speed of sound and that "crack" cannot be suppressed! I'd recommend a Swarm model in .22 to get the 10-shot repeater ability and I'd shoot Predator Polymag ammo to cut down on pass-troughs.
Good luck,

Thank you for the suggestions, Mondo. I was planning to buy my own air gun and night scope, but I notice that when I am outside, or not inside the rodent stays inside. It's too easy for it to track my whereabouts. I want to find someone else that could help because if I am inside the rodent will confidently go outside to get berries out of the Cedar trees.

I will check out Keith Warren's channel if I can get in touch with him. If anyone else reads this post and can help, please let me know.

I might still buy an air gun and your suggestions are very helpful.
