Greetings to all Forum participants and a special thanks to all who contributed to resolving this issue.

I'm interested in practicing Field Target (so I would have to stick with a sub 12 airgun), but... (there's always one but ).. I wanted my airgun to have the versatility amd to be able to set it to higher speeds for when I'm on private property, with friends, in private shooting games where we use 24 joules (>18 FootPounds).

My question is:
Can I configure an FX Impact M3 FAC for SUB 12 and match the characteristics of an original FX Impact M3 SUB 12 while maintaining, or even improving, its accuracy and consistency of shooting speeds?

Once again, I thank everyone who wants to contribute to resolving this issue.

I guess you would have to strip out the hammer weights - put a soft spring in and drop it to about 40 bar.

but even after you done all of this you will still it on your FAC Licence as once an air rifle is FAC it can not be converted back to Non-fac (UK Firearms Law)

Better to buy one that is sub 12 in the first place

An Impact M3 will detune down to sub 12....BUT...its ported and weighted for higher power, so it will do it, but the regs and everything in a factory sub 12 will be better suited to sub 12.
So yes, it will do it, but it will never be as constant as a dedicated sub 12 - as FXLover said, if your shooting in FT, buy a sub 12.
